DESCRIPTION:
Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Peerless" crystal regulator, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with visible Brocot escapement in an ornate gilt metal case with two child figures on each side and Cupid with his bow on top, two piece enamel dial with blued steel hands and double-vial pendulum.
CONDITION:
Brass and cast metal case has the remains of the original gilding. The original signed porcelain dial and all four beveled glass panels are in very good condition. Original hands and pendulum. A cast arrow that was held by top statue is missing. Strikes on a cathedral gong. Pallet jewels are likely red carnelian. The movement is signed.
